Registration is open to attend the 6th Annual Summit of the FL CHW Coalition, the largest networking and training event for community health workers/promotores in the state.
It’s entitled: “The Promise of Health Equity: Advancing the Roles of CHWs”, and will take place at University of Florida Research and Academic Center at Lake Nona in Orlando, near the airport. Using data from the evaluation forms from last year, we have put together a great The program includes plenary session on addressing health disparities on targeted populations and on asthma, latest from insurers, health departments, faith based and other organizations who work with CHWs across the state, the FL CHW certification exam (grandparenting ends on June 30th!) after July 1st, regional networking sessions, and specific-content sessions you can select/pre-register in advance (nutrition, Hispanic/Latino health, patient centered outcomes research, advocacy, ALS, diabetes and eye health, community health maps: low cost approach to community-focused GIS mapping).

The Registration Fee is now $31 which is comparable to other state’s CHW conferences, and still very reasonable!
